چکیده

Abstract Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) is a tremendous threat to vegetables across the globe, including in Pakistan. The present work was conducted investigate genetic variability of CMV isolates infecting pea and spinach Pothwar region Serological-based surveys during 2016-2017 revealed 31.70% overall disease incidence from crops. Triple-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (TAS-ELISA) that all positive belong subgroup II. Two selected cDNA ELISA-positive samples representing each crops were PCR-amplified (ca.1100 bp) sequenced corresponding CP gene which shared 93.7% nucleotide identity with other. phylogeography and genetic diversity of the lesser mouse- eared bat (myotis blythii) in iran

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...

Analysis of genetic diversity between and within Iranian accessions of spinach (Spinacia oleraceae) by SRAP markers

Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) is an economically important leafy vegetable crop in many countries. This is the first case study of using SRAP markers to analyze genetic diversity of Iranian spinach accessions. Eight SRAP primer combinations generated 88 scorable bands ranging from 50 to 1000 bp, among which 73 were polymorphic, with an average of 82.9 polymorphic bands per primer combination a...

Purification and Characterization of Ornithine Transcarbamylase from Pea (Pisum sativum

Pea (Pisum sativum) omithine transcarbamylase (OTC) was purified to homogeneity from leaf homogenates in a single-step procedure, using 5-N-(phosphonacetyl)-L-omithine-Sepharose 6B affinity chromatography. The 1581-fold purified OTC enzyme exhibited a specific activity of 139 micromoles citrulline per minute per milligram of protein at 370C, pH 8.5. Pea OTC represents approximately 0.05% of the...

Genetic control of floral zygomorphy in pea (Pisum sativum L.).

Floral zygomorphy (flowers with bilateral symmetry) has multiple origins and typically manifests two kinds of asymmetries, dorsoventral (DV) and organ internal (IN) asymmetries in floral and organ planes, respectively, revealing the underlying key regulators in plant genomes that generate and superimpose various mechanisms to build up complexity and different floral forms during plant developme...

Role of nitrogen content of pea (Pisum sativum L.) on pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris) establishment

The leaf nitrogen content is generally accepted as an indicator of food quality and as a factor affecting host selection by phytophagous insects. The alate pea aphids (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris, Aphididae) were given a choice among non-nodulated pea plants (Pisum sativum L.) supplied with one of four nitrate-N levels (0, 3, 15 and 30 mM). When whole plants were exposed to aphids for 7 days, th...
